Categories

See below for the descriptions to give you an insight into what a Performance Fitting™ for each main category entails.

  • Driver Performance Fitting™

Confidence in your driver when standing on any tee is paramount to your results. We will look at head model, loft, shape, head size, weight positioning, shaft sleeve setting, shaft model, weight, torque, flex, length and of course grip in order to optimise look, club speed, ball speed, feel, sound, launch, spin, apex, carry, roll, total consistency, accuracy and distance. No stone is left unturned in our search for the best possible start to your round.

  • Utility Performance Fitting™

This  category includes fairway woods, hybrids and driving or utility Irons. Depending on your style, technique, ability and goals we will look at all the options to find out what works best to fill that crucial distance gap and shot versatility between your longest iron and the driver. You may be surprised what you end up with – the options are vast! As per the driver we will look at model, loft, shape, head size, weight positioning, shaft setting shaft model, weight, torque, flex, length and of course grip in order to optimise look, club speed, ball speed, feel, sound, launch, spin, apex, carry, roll, total consistency, accuracy and distance.

  • Irons Performance Fitting™

Your iron set could have as many as 9 irons or as few as 4 irons. It all depends on how and where you play and where you are headed in terms of expected progress. For example, you may end up with 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, P and G in your main iron set (9 irons) or at the other end of the spectrum you may end up with a smaller 7,8,9 and P configuration (4 irons). Typically, irons hit it lower than the equivalent clubs in the ‘Utility’ category and its only testing and making adjustments that will allow us to determine the optimum set and specification for you. Much like the other categories we will look at model, loft, shape, top line, sole width, camber, radius, bounce, head size, weight positioning, shaft setting shaft model, weight, torque, flex, length and of course grip in order to optimise look, club speed, ball speed, feel, sound, launch, spin, apex, workability carry, roll, total consistency, accuracy and distance.

  • Wedge Performance Fitting™

Your wedges are super important for your results out on the course. They need to at least compliment your irons so the transition between your shortest iron and first wedge is seamless. There are a lot of subtle design features in a wedge that can make a difference for you, and we will look at your configuration for lob wedge and sand wedge in particular but also ensure we blend any gap wedge and pitching wedge requirements into the iron set and of course consider the type of course(s) your normally play on. We will look at model, cosmetic finish, loft, lie, bounce, grind and groove configuration as well as length, shaft and grip.

  • Putter Performance Fitting™

Your putter is often the difference between a great round and one you despair of. We need to pay significant attention to what is often known as the ‘wand’ in order to select a model that allows you to centre the ball every time at address, line up accurately, strike it out of the centre and make a smooth stroke that delivers accurate direction and great distance judgement. We look at every element including model, face insert/grooves, alignment style, toe-hang, loft, lie, length, shaft and grip.

  • Equipment Evaluation

Not sure if you need new clubs? No problem—simply book our free equipment evaluation (just 1 hour - 30 minutes of assessment time and 30 minutes to have your clubs measured) so we can assess your swing, your current clubs, and your shaft load data. We will then measure your clubs for their current specs and send you a video report of our findings for you to consider. No obligation—just great information so you don't waste money on clubs you don't need or confidence to book a Performance Fitting™ knowing there are gains to be made.

What is Performance Fitting™?

This is the name for an approach to custom fit that is focussed entirely on delivering results for golfers, on the course - where it matters. This is compared to mainstream custom fit which is heavily influenced on closing sales and making margins.

  • The 5 steps (represented in the pentagon graphic on the home page) in the Performance Fitting™ approach have been designed to ensure that no stone is left unturned in finding the best possible equipment to suit a players game. Its more than club measurements and distance. It’s considering everything about you as a player, your circumstances, goals, ability, time, style, technique, home course and what makes you tick.

Performance Fitting™ is guaranteed to have the 7 following benefits, most of which are rare in a mainstream custom fitting:

    1. Only ever conducted by an experienced Fitting Specialist who is also a qualified expert in club building and swing technique.

    2. Every session will use equipment to accurately measure loft and lie, length and swingweight.

    3.   A minimum of 8 brands will be available for you and the fitter to select from and find your perfect match.

    4.   There are no sales commissions for Performance Fitting™ Specialists. They are rewarded for 5 star reviews and 100% satisfaction with results on the course (not just the fitting session).

    5.   Differences in product margins play zero part in Performance Fitting™ sessions and brand incentives to sell particular models are removed from the equation. The motivation is a clients results once they have played with the clubs

    6.   Every club built or ordered at a Performance Fitting™ facility gets put through an 8-point check to ensure the clubs you walk away with are exactly what you fitted for.

    7.   Performance Fitting™ sessions start way before the golfer attends the session (Preparation) and are not complete until the golfer is 100% satisfied with results on the course (Follow Up).

    8.   Performance Fitting™ Specialists are all TrackMan certified regardless of which launch monitor they use. This is the gold standard of understanding launch monitor numbers and what they mean.

    9.   Performance Fitting™ Specialists receive regular training throughout the year and are tested annually to ensure their knowledge is constantly improved and they remain current and at ‘expert’ level with the latest technology developments and fitting methods.

All of the above are motivated by getting results.

Performance Fitting™ sessions are longer to ensure everything is covered properly and sessions are charged for to ensure that club sales are not the motivation and do not influence the advice you are given.

It’s so important a golfer has trust in the equipment they are playing with and a great way to be 100% sure the advice you are given can be trusted is to book a ‘Performance Fitting™ identified by this Logo .
