Eclipse Golf is now transitioning into a broader development organisation and is seeking to recruit a PGA Assistant, final-year PGA Trainee, or developing Golf Professional, to join our team as an Assistant Development Technician.
In addition to having some experience and knowledge in club fitting, analysis technology and coaching, candidates must be self-motivated, personable, and possess a willingness to assist us in expanding our client base to help the long-term growth of the company.
We are not seeking someone who knows everything from day one, as training and support will be given. However, we are looking for someone with the right attitude, energy, curiosity and customer-first mindset who wants to learn and grow within a high-quality team environment.

- Ongoing training, mentoring and guidance from experienced golf industry professionals
Candidate Profile
We are looking for someone who brings passion, energy and pride to their work.
Technical knowledge matters, but so does the ability to make a golfer feel listened to, understood, supported and excited about improving their game.
The right person should care about the customer’s experience before, during an after an appointment. Our customers must feel valued and satisfied, knowing that they have received honest advice, clear direction and appropriate support from their Eclipse Golf experience.

- Eager to learn and develop within a structured environment
- Customer-first in their thinking
- Open to feedback, mentoring and continuous improvement
- Motivated by service quality, customer results and five-star reviews
- Interested in becoming part of a team rather than operating as an individual unit
Trackman4 and GCQuad knowledge and club fitting experience would be an advantage, but the right attitude, communication style and willingness to develop are a priority.
Performance Development Platform
A key part of this role is to utilise Eclipse Golf’s proprietary performance development management system.
This system is designed to help us deliver a more complete and premium service to our clients. It allows our customers to engage with their development before and after an appointment, giving the coach better insight, better communication and a clearer understanding of the player’s ongoing performance when they play.
The platform includes:
- Software for customers to upload scoring data and analyse results
- Notifications that allow the coach to review on-course performance data and prospect for appointment opportunities
- Software that allows us to share appointment results
- A constantly updated golf newsfeed
- Functionality for Eclipse Golf to add videos and updates
- A clear development path between coaching & fitting
Our Standard
We believe golfers should receive unbiased advice based on what will genuinely help them improve, not what benefits the business in the short term. The customer journey should feel honest, professional, supportive and personal.
This means:
- No pressure to recommend stock sitting in the back room
- No sales commission influencing equipment recommendations
- No brand incentives driving decisions
- No pushing customers towards higher-margin products
- No separation between fitting, coaching and player development when a joined-up approach would serve the golfer better
Reviews, customer feedback and long-term trust are key measures of performance.
Location
The role is based in Surrey, currently around the Cranleigh/Guildford area, with a planned transition to a new performance development studio near Woking later in 2026.
Remuneration
The role will include a basic salary plus an agreed remuneration structure linked to coaching activity, fitting delivery and service quality.
Coaching income will be processed through Eclipse Golf, with a clear agreed method of remuneration for the coach.
The role is not commission-led on club sales. Eclipse Golf’s fitting philosophy is built around unbiased recommendations, customer results, service quality and five-star customer experiences.
Full remuneration details will be discussed with suitable applicants.
